Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has clarified that her invitation to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and other lawmakers for the commissioning of projects in Kogi State was strictly procedural and not personal.
The senator representing Kogi Central said the letter, read on the Senate floor on Thursday, was routed through the presiding officer in accordance with parliamentary customs. She explained that the move was to ensure transparency and inclusiveness as she marks her second year in office.
Akpoti-Uduaghan noted that her decision reflected a commitment to due process and institutional respect, adding that her celebration of completed projects was about public service, not self-recognition.
