The Media & Public Relations Department of the Sierra Leone Police says it has been following intelligence regarding the activities of unnamed individuals, including senior military officers, who it says are working to undermine the peace and tranquillity of the state and unleash violence on peaceful citizens of Sierra Leone.

In a press release, the Sierra Leonean police also says arrests have been made and the suspects are assisting with investigations.
