Shettima departs Abuja for Davos to attend World Economic Forum

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Davos, Switzerland, where he will represent Nigeria at the 2025 World Economic Forum, WEF, Annual Meeting, scheduled to run from January 20 to 24.

In a statement, Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, confirmed that Shettima’s itinerary includes participation in workshops, forums, and bilateral discussions with fellow global leaders.

One notable event on the Vice President’s schedule is a workshop organised by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in partnership with WEF. Titled “Roadmap to Co-create Investment Opportunities for Africa’s Frontier Markets,” the session aims to boost capital flows into Africa’s emerging markets, while fostering solutions to create a more prosperous, inclusive, and resilient continent.
