Today on Africa in Perspective, we looked at the recently concluded Presidential Election in Sierra Leone in which the incumbent, President Julius Maada Bio of the Sierra Leone People’s Party was re-elected defeating Mr Samura Kamara of the All People’s Congress.
Among other things, the International election observers have highlighted problems with transparency in the tallying process and Mr Kamara who lost out to Mr Bio, refferred to the election as a “Daylight robbery”.Â
How does this shape the political outlook in Sierra Leone and how are the people responding to President Bio’s victory?
Our guest, Patrick Sallia, a journalist with Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation speaks to this and other concerns.
