Singer Flavour’s impersonator jailed by court in Lagos for defrauding US lady

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced Courage Ipaka to two years imprisonment for impersonating Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour N’abania, the singer.

Mr Ipaka was found guilty of using the singer’s identity to defraud Yvelte M. Thompson, a United States-based lady, of $53,000.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s investigator who led the probe into the matter, Azibagiri Dan Ekpar, told the court that the defendant promised to organise shows in America, and received payment from his victim through his Bitcoin wallets.
