Sporting Lagos fight for survival against Shooting Stars’ continental ambitions

Sporting Lagos have encouraged their supporters to expect an emotional end to the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

The team, which will lock horns with Shooting Stars in their final game of the season on Sunday, need a win from the game to escape relegation.

In a press release, Sporting Lagos said a win against Shooting Stars in Ibadan could mean surviving relegation and more NPFL football next season.

The team has been firing up its fan base in the hopes of pulling large numbers of them to the stands at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. The club will be ferrying its supporters to the crucial match against Shooting Stars, with the bus pulling out of the Onikan Police Station parking lot in Lagos at noon.
