Sports Minister lauds Amusan’s clearance by CAS

The Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has expressed joy and relief following the clearance of Oluwatobiloba Amusan by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, CAS.

Senator Enoh said the ruling comes as a significant boost to Nigeria’s hopes for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.

Tobi Amusan, Nigeria’s star hurdler, faced a whereabouts rule violation charge filed by the World Athletics and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). However, CAS has dismissed the charges, affirming that Amusan did not violate Rule 2.4 of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules (WA ADR).
