Christopher Iheuwa’s stage play ‘The Quest’ has earned critical acclaim following its recent staging by final-year Performing Arts students of Bamidele Olumilua University. Blending romance, rivalry, supernatural intrigue and cultural traditions, the production has been praised for its powerful storytelling and strong performances.
The drama follows Chibude, a young man in search of a wife, whose journey brings him into conflict with Iwebuka, the strongest fighter in Umuoni, over the love of Ifeoma. Themes of pride, tradition and destiny run through the tale, interwoven with wrestling contests, festivals and moments of suspense.
