Students and teachers narrowly escaped injury after a four-storey building housing Yemco Nursery, Primary and Comprehensive College collapsed on Monday in the Ogba area of Lagos.
The structure at 11 Adudatu Street, behind County Hospital in the Aguda axis of Ogba, gave way shortly after the occupants were evacuated from the premises.
Witnesses said the evacuation was carried out after concerns were raised when parts of the building, including wooden planks and window frames, began falling and cracks appeared in the structure shortly before midday.
