Nigeria sit third in Group C with 11 points from eight matches and must win their remaining two fixtures — against Lesotho on Friday and Benin Republic next Tuesday — to keep qualification hopes alive. The Super Eagles will also depend on favourable results from their group rivals to secure a place at next year’s World Cup.
