Nigeria’s Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has signed with a new football agency, Wilders Sport, which has a strong presence in France. Chelle, who is Franco-Malian, announced the move on his Instagram page on Wednesday, saying the switch will take his career to “another level.”
In an interview, Chelle explained that the agency will provide the guidance and support needed to advance his professional career. The 48-year-old coach led Nigeria to a bronze medal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Chelle’s move comes amid reports linking him to the vacant manager position at French Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille. The role opened after Roberto De Zerbi left the club by mutual agreement on 11 February.
