Nigerian international Igoh Ogbu has paid tribute to Slavia Prague manager Jindřich Trpišovský Yin-drzhikh Trip-ish-ov-skee” for playing a pivotal role in his development and national team breakthrough.
The 25-year-old centre-back, who joined the Czech champions from Norway’s Lillestrøm in January 2023, made his Nigeria debut at the Unity Cup in London this May.

Ogbu, who played 25 league matches last season, scoring twice and assisting once, was instrumental in Slavia’s title win and qualification for the UEFA Champions League group stage.
He praised Trpišovský for fostering both his technical and personal growth, citing the coach’s open-door approach and defensive expertise.
With strong performances attracting interest from top European clubs, Ogbu could face a key career decision this summer.
