Two Super Eagles players, Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams, featured in Sevilla’s 2-1 defeat to Espanyol at RCDE Stadium. Ejuke came off the bench in the 34th minute to replace Manchester United alumnus Adnan Januzaj, sidelined with a muscle issue, while Adams made his fifth league start in Isaac Romero’s absence.
Despite Sevilla registering 22 shots on target, they managed only one goal, while Espanyol converted two from just five attempts. Adams faced criticism from fans for a series of misjudged touches, including one that led to Espanyol’s second goal.
