The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has arrested a suspected supplier of illicit drugs to bandits during an operation carried out by its officers. The agency confirmed the arrest in a statement.
According to the NDLEA, operatives seized 47 kilograms of skunk and about 170,000 bottles of codeine syrup from the suspect. The agency said the drugs were intended for illegal distribution.
NDLEA officials said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to disrupt drug trafficking networks linked to criminal activities across the country.

The agency added that investigations are continuing to identify other individuals connected to the supply chain.
