Former Ghanaian President, John Mahama, has urged President Bola Tinubu to tackle corruption with asset declaration.
The former President made the suggestion in his keynote presentation at the 53rd Annual Conference of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers in Ilorin, Kwara State.
He identified asset declaration by the public officers as a tool to tackle the menace of corruption in the public sector, which, according to him, is a cankerworm that retards the progress of a nation.

President Mahama said corruption must be fought headlong whether it occurs in the public or private sector, adding that corruption grows as a result of the failure of the institutions established to fight it.
He urged Nigerians to support government efforts and ensure transparency in the fight against corruption in all sectors of the economy.
