A fuel tanker accident triggered a major fire on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway at Iyana-Isolo on Sunday, leaving three people injured. No fatalities were reported.
The tanker, carrying 45,000 litres of diesel from Apapa towards Oshodi, collided with a commercial minibus before being struck by two trailers — a flatbed and a container truck. The impact set off a blaze around 1 p.m.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, led by Controller General Margaret Adeseye, said firefighters from Isolo and Bolade stations responded swiftly, containing the fire and carrying out mop-up operations. She confirmed that the injured were taken to hospital for treatment.
Officials later cleared the wreckage to restore traffic flow. Authorities urged motorists to exercise caution, warning that negligence on Lagos roads continues to put lives and property at risk.
