Madam Elizabeth Evoeme, popularly known as Ovularia from the 80s TV sitcom ‘The New Masquerade’, has died at the age of 81.
Her demise was captured in a statement released by the Evoeme Emekalam family, who expressed gratitude to fans, friends, and colleagues for their support, as they requested privacy during this time of grief.

Madam Elizabeth’s daughter, Justina Ngozi Evoeme, who is based in London, described her mother’s death as painful and shocking, saying she needs to come to terms with her loss.
The news of her death comes exactly four and a half years after she was rumoured to have passed away on November 5, 2019. At that time, a Twitter post by Churchill Ebhodaghe sparked speculations about her death, which she later dismissed as false.
