The Ogun State Government says TikToker Mirabel has been discharged from the hospital and handed over to the police after admitting her rape allegation was false.
She had earlier claimed she was raped in her apartment, prompting an investigation that was later transferred to the Ogun State Police Command.
In a recorded phone call with activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, she admitted the claim was untrue and that she created a fake TikTok account linked to the story.

The state government says she is medically stable and that police investigations will continue, with anyone found culpable to be prosecuted according to the law.
