President Bola Tinubu has appointed Adesayo Michael as the managing director and chief executive of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA). The announcement came in a statement from the presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga.
NEMSA is the federal agency responsible for enforcing technical standards and conducting inspections and certification of electrical installations in the power sector.
Michael replaces former CEO Aliyu Tahir. The president also named other board members, including Aliyu Abdulazeez as executive director, technical, and Ikechi Nwosu as chairman for the South-East region.

In the same statement, Tinubu appointed Magaji Aliyu as managing director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex and forwarded nominees for two commissioner positions to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission for Senate confirmation. They are Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi, and Abdullahi Muktar, representing Kaduna.
