President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with the Minister of Defence and Service Chiefs following renewed attacks on military formations in parts of the country. The meeting was held on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
In attendance were the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police. The meeting lasted for about two hours and marked the first security briefing with the police chief since his appointment.
The meeting comes amid growing security concerns, including recent attacks that led to the killing of some military commanders in theatres of operation. Among the incidents were attacks in Ngoshe and Konduga in Borno State which resulted in casualties and abductions.
