President Bola Tinubu has ordered Nigeria’s security chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri following bomb blasts that killed 23 people in Borno State. The president said the move is to take charge of the situation and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
Police say the explosions, which occurred on Monday, were carried out by suspected suicide bombers, leaving 108 others injured. Victims were evacuated, and emergency services provided treatment to the wounded.
President Tinubu described the attacks as acts of terror and said additional security measures and operational support have been approved. He also directed emergency agencies to provide proper care for those affected.
