President Bola Tinubu has told world leaders that Africa does not wish to replace old shackles with new ones as he championed the need for the continent to surmount foreign exploitation to attain prosperity through democratic ideals.
The President made the statement in his inaugural address at the United Nations General Assembly on the first day of the 78th session of the assembly held at the UN Headquarters.
President Tinubu condemned exploitation in Africa.

The President also spoke on the removal of fuel subsidy in Nigeria, highlighting current economic challenges.
President Tinubu ended his speech by urging the world to work with Africa as true friends and partners, and describing the continent as nothing less than the key to the world’s future.
