Tochukwu Nnadi Joins Olympique Marseille from Zulte Waregem

Nigerian midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi has completed a move to French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille from Belgium’s Zulte Waregem. The 22-year-old’s transfer was confirmed by the club on Monday, with Nnadi set to wear jersey number six.

Nnadi is Marseille’s fourth signing of the transfer window, joining Nathan Nwaneri on loan from Arsenal, Quinten Timber, and Himad Abdelli as part of Robert De Zerbi’s plans to secure the club’s UEFA Champions League position next season.

The midfielder was a surprise inclusion in Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, making his senior debut as a second-half substitute in a 3-1 win over Uganda. He previously featured for the Flying Eagles at the 2023 U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

A home-grown talent, Nnadi began his career with Campos FC in Owerri, Imo State, before moving to Madenat Alamal Football Academy in the UAE in 2019. He later joined Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv in August 2021 following a successful trial, before securing the move to Marseille.
