The Niger Delta Power Holding Company says the Republic of Togo is seeking to increase the volume of electricity it imports from Nigeria to meet growing demand.
In a statement on Sunday, the company said the request was made during a meeting with a delegation from the Compagnie Energie Electrique du Togo, the country’s national electricity utility, led by its Director General, Débo-K’mba Barandao.
Togo currently purchases about 75 megawatt hours of electricity from the NDPHC under a bilateral agreement, which supports power supply to households, businesses and public institutions.

The Managing Director of NDPHC, Jennifer Adighije, said the company is open to expanding electricity exports but stressed the need for reliable commercial arrangements and payment guarantees to ensure sustainable cross-border power trade.
