Five people have been confirmed dead, six injured, and twenty others remain missing following a tragic boat accident in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The spokesman for the Delta State Police Command, Edafe Bright, confirmed the incident, adding that the injured are receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Warri.

The accident occurred when two speedboats collided while transporting family members returning from a burial ceremony. The collision caused both boats to capsize, throwing passengers—most of whom were not wearing life jackets—into the water. Rescue efforts are ongoing to locate the missing passengers.
