Troops kill 10 suspected terrorists in Plateau operation

Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE have killed at least 10 suspected terrorists and recovered weapons during coordinated operations in Plateau State. The military said the raids were carried out on April 9, 2026, in Daba and Seri villages in Wase and Kanam Local Government Areas under Operation WUTAN DAJI.

According to the Joint Task Force spokesperson, Captain Chinonso Oteh, troops acting on intelligence engaged armed men on motorcycles along a transit route between Dutsen Zaki and Odare Forest at about 08:30 am, overpowering them after an exchange of fire.

The military said items recovered include three AK-47 rifles, magazines, ammunition, motorcycles and fuel supplies believed to be for logistics, while further operations were launched in nearby communities to track fleeing suspects.
