Troops Nigerian security operatives have killed 20 members of IPOB/ESN during a raid/clearance operation in Mother Valley, Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.
In a statement on Sunday, the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, said the operation was conducted on March 7, and involved troops of Operation UDO KA comprising the police, the Department of State Services, DSS, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
He also said the troops cleared about 50 IPOB/ESN hideout tents in the valley including what he called the terrorists’ Supreme Headquarters and their Command and Control Centre, as well as its Military Council Headquarters.

Major General Buba added that the Valley had sufficient power supply for the camps.
According to him, the terrorists hibernated there, reared animals and also owned farms, making it possible for them to be self-sustaining. During the operations, the troops also encountered several command IEDs and ditches along the axis to the camp.
