Troops of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 3, Operation Whirl Stroke, have raided a terrorist hideout in Ibi Local Government Area of Taraba State, recovering weapons and military gear.
The raid, part of ‘Operation Lafiya Nakowa’, followed intelligence reports on terrorist activities around Badekoshi, Fajul, Kurmi, and Dampar villages. Soldiers engaged the suspects at Badekoshi, forcing them to flee after a brief gunfight.

Recovered items included an AK-47 rifle, ammunition, military uniforms, and a stolen motorcycle.
Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa commended the troops’ professionalism, urging them to sustain the momentum. He reaffirmed the army’s commitment to securing Taraba and pledged stronger cooperation with other security agencies and local communities to ensure lasting peace in the state.
