Troops of 144 Battalion have successfully rescued 25 hostages held captive by Boko Haram Terrorists in Borno State.
In a statement, the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, said the rescue was carried out in conjunction with a Hybrid Force.
14 hostages comprising six women and eight children were rescued in Gobara village in Gwoza Local Government Area.

The other 11 civilians were rescued in Gava Village by troops of 82 Task Force Battalion, in conjunction with a Hybrid Force.
The Army spokesman says the rescued persons are currently undergoing profiling.
