Trump Predicts Israel-Iran War May Last Up to Five Weeks

The United States President, Donald Trump says the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran could last between four and five weeks. Fighting has intensified across the region, with Iran launching strikes on Israel and US assets in the Gulf, while Israeli and American forces continue air attacks on Iranian targets.

Qatar says its air force shot down two Iranian fighter jets, along with several ballistic missiles and drones. In Kuwait, authorities reported that several US warplanes crashed after being mistakenly hit by local air defences, though all crew members survived. In Lebanon, dozens have been killed in renewed exchanges between Israel and Hezbollah.

Iranian officials say hundreds of people have died in joint US and Israeli strikes, with hospitals and medical centres among facilities reportedly damaged. Israel says it has targeted multiple Iranian intelligence offices and command centres linked to the Revolutionary Guard.

Iran’s Foreign Minister says the country is not at war with its neighbours but is responding to attacks by the United States. Meanwhile, opinion polls in the US show divided public support for the military action, as the conflict raises fresh concerns about stability across the Middle East.
