President Donald Trump has announced plans to send additional weapons to Ukraine, prompting swift condemnation from Moscow, which warned the move could prolong the ongoing conflict.
The pledge came just days after Washington temporarily paused some arms shipments to Kyiv, a decision that reportedly left Ukrainian officials seeking clarity.

Responding to the renewed commitment, the Kremlin said the supply of more weapons was incompatible with efforts to find a peaceful resolution. A spokesman described the move as a step that would further complicate diplomatic efforts.
Trump’s announcement followed fresh claims by Russian forces of gains in the drawn-out war, now in its third year.
The latest development adds fresh tension to an already fragile geopolitical landscape, with no clear sign of a breakthrough in negotiations between the two sides.
