Two Bandit Leaders Surrender in Katsina, Release 15 Kidnapped Victims

Two notorious bandit leaders in Katsina State, Abu Radde and Umar Black, have surrendered their arms and released over 15 kidnapped victims in Batsari Local Government Area. The bandits handed over four AK-47 rifles and 15 captives, including three men, eight women, and four children, who are now under the care of local authorities for rehabilitation.

The surrender follows intense military operations conducted by Operation FANSAN YANMA and other security agencies in the region. Security sources reported that the ceremony, held on Sunday, was attended by military, traditional, and religious leaders, marking a significant development in the fight against banditry.

The release of the captives is seen as a crucial step towards disarmament and the restoration of peace in the area. The arms surrendered by the bandits are now in the custody of the 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Katsina, to prevent further criminal activities.
