Two people have died following a collision involving two forty-foot container trucks at Cele Bus Stop, inward Mile 12, in Lagos. The accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, according to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.
In a statement, the agency’s Permanent Secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said preliminary investigations indicate that one of the trucks rammed into another stationary truck from behind due to excessive speed.
He said the impact trapped the driver of the moving truck and his motor boy inside the cabin, and both were confirmed dead at the scene despite rescue efforts.

LASEMA says recovery operations are ongoing, with steps being taken to evacuate the vehicles and restore traffic flow, while motorists have been advised to comply with traffic management directives.
