Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has confirmed he will return to the ring in April to face Arslanbek Makhmudov, weeks after announcing his comeback from retirement. The bout is scheduled for April 11 in the United Kingdom, with the venue yet to be confirmed, and will be broadcast on Netflix.
The 37 year old, who last fought in December 2024 when he lost to Oleksandr Usyk, had retired in January last year following a second consecutive defeat. Fury, who has been training in Thailand, said on social media that he was returning to do what he loves. He holds a professional record of 34 wins, two defeats and one draw, and is a two time world heavyweight champion.

His opponent, 36 year old Canada based Russian boxer Arslanbek Makhmudov, has won 21 of his 23 fights and said he is ready for the challenge. Fury had been expected to pursue a long anticipated bout with fellow British former champion Anthony Joshua, but Joshua’s future remains uncertain following a fatal car crash in Nigeria in December that killed two of his close friends.
