Music executive Ubi Franklin has denied allegations that he stole a luxury wristwatch while attending Davido’s wedding in Miami, US, last weekend.
The claims surfaced on social media on Wednesday after a blog report. In a statement on X, Franklin described the allegations as ‘false and misleading,’ explaining that he bought one watch in Miami but declined to purchase another to avoid complications.

He said both items briefly came into his possession during the wedding before he departed urgently for his sister’s funeral preparations. Franklin insisted he paid in full for the watch he kept and has “never stolen from anyone.” The seller, identified as Benny, has also refuted the theft claims.
