France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom have jointly condemned a sharp rise in Israeli settler attacks on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Their statement follows UN data showing 264 incidents in October alone — the highest monthly figure since records began in 2006.
The four governments urged Israel to meet its obligations under international law and to ensure that condemnation by its leaders is matched by concrete action against perpetrators.

They also criticised Israel’s approval of 28,000 new settlement housing units this year and its continued withholding of Palestinian Authority tax revenues, warning that both measures further undermine prospects for a two-state solution and threaten wider peace efforts.
