The UK has suspended some arms sales to Israel.
While announcing the suspension, consisting of 30 out of 350 arms exports licenses to Israel, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy said there is a “clear risk” the equipment could be used to commit serious violations of international law.
The affected equipment includes parts for fighter jets, helicopters and drones.
According to Mr Lammy, the UK continued to support Israel’s right to defend itself, and the suspension does not amount to an arms embargo.

Reacting to the development, Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant took to his X page to say he was deeply disheartened by the decision, while Foreign Minister Israel Katz said it sent, in his own words, ‘a very problematic message’ to Hamas and Iran.
