Vice President Kashim Shettima is calling for stronger ties between Nigeria and the UK to boost trade between the two countries.
VP Shettima made the call yesterday when Richard Montgomery, British high commissioner to Nigeria, paid him a courtesy visit at the presidential villa, Abuja.
The Vice President said there is a need for both countries to enhance the longstanding relationship they have had by establishing a bi-national commission.

After the meeting, the High Commissioner told State House correspondents that the economic reforms instituted by President Bola Tinubu are capable of attracting investors from the United Kingdom to Nigeria.
High Commissioner Montgomery also said the United Kingdom and the city of London see Nigeria as a big opportunity going forward, and he will do his part to try to boost and enhance trade and investment.
