The Minister of Works, Mr David Umahi, has introduced night construction to fast track Nigeria’s highway projects in line with global best practices.
He made the announcement during a visit to project sites in Lagos and Ogun States.
Mr. Umahi asserted that night hours of construction under his supervision will improve the pace of project delivery.

He also announced that the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway rehabilitation/reconstruction exercise is 98 percent completed and will be inaugurated mid-September.
The Minister added that the government will use consultants to concession and toll all federal highways in the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.
