A United Nations staff member has been killed and several others injured after a UN compound in Gaza was damaged on Wednesday. The circumstances remain unclear.
Gaza’s health ministry blamed an Israeli strike, stating that five critically injured foreign workers were taken to hospital. Israel’s military denied targeting the facility in Deir al-Balah.

The incident follows Israel’s renewed offensive after a two-month ceasefire collapsed. Gaza’s health authorities report more than 400 deaths in recent strikes.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said combat had resumed “in full force.” The next day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced an expansion of ground operations towards the Netzarim corridor, a key dividing route in Gaza.
With the conflict escalating, concerns over the humanitarian impact continue to grow.
