The Federal Government says the media and some unpatriotic Nigerians are to be blamed for tech giant- Twitter’s choice of Ghana as the preferred destination site of their continental headquarters.

Speaking in an interview yesterday in Abuja, the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed says the development would serve as a lesson for Nigerians to be more patriotic in managing the image of the country.

According to him, Nigeria’s Twitter population of about 25 million users against Ghana’s eight million users, would have made it a natural expectation that to choose Nigeria as the location of its headquarters on the continent.

Four days ago, Twitter’s co-founder, Jack Dorsey announced via his handle @jack that the company would establish its physical presence in Africa in Accra, Ghana.

  1. Along with every thing which seems to be building within this specific subject matter, your perspectives happen to be quite refreshing. Having said that, I am sorry, but I do not subscribe to your whole strategy, all be it exciting none the less. It appears to everyone that your commentary are generally not entirely validated and in simple fact you are generally yourself not even fully certain of your point. In any event I did enjoy reading it.

  2. Way cool! Some very valid points! I appreciate you penning this article plus the rest of the website is also really good.
