The United States has pledged two billion dollars in humanitarian assistance to support vulnerable populations globally. The announcement was made by the US State Department.
Officials said the funding will address food insecurity, health needs and displacement caused by conflict and natural disasters. The support will be delivered through international partners.
The US State Department said the assistance reflects Washington’s commitment to humanitarian response. Priority regions include areas affected by war and climate related crises such as Ukraine, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria and Sudan.

US officials urged other countries to increase their contributions. They said global cooperation is essential to meet growing humanitarian needs.
