Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello says 100 people were killed in a US raid that removed President Nicolás Maduro from power.
A significant portion of Maduro’s security team was reportedly killed, with Cuba confirming that 32 of its military and intelligence personnel in Venezuela also died.

Mr. Cabello added that President Maduro sustained a leg injury, while his wife, Cilia Flores, suffered a head injury during the operation. Interim President Delcy Rodríguez declared a week of mourning for the military personnel killed, praising them as “courageous” during the raid. Venezuelan authorities described the deaths as occurring “in cold blood.”
