The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has accused Israel of using US weapons to commit atrocities in Gaza, saying recent attacks that killed dozens, including 46 children, show it “cannot be trusted” with American arms. In a statement, the group urged members of Congress to condemn what it called a massacre and support an arms embargo on Israel in line with US and international law.

The United States has supplied billions of dollars in military aid to Israel since the Gaza war began in October 2023 and has repeatedly shielded its ally from international censure at the United Nations and other global forums.
