The Vatican’s Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, has strongly condemned the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza, describing the scale of civilian deaths as “unacceptable” and warning against indifference to human suffering.
In an interview published in Italian and English, Cardinal Parolin said the conflict has produced “disastrous and inhuman consequences,” with countless Palestinians, including children, losing their lives daily. He cautioned that the world risks becoming desensitised to the tragedy.
