Veteran Businesswoman and Socialite "Cash Madam" Passes Away at 89

Kadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri, affectionately known as “Cash Madam,” has died at the age of 89. The renowned businesswoman and socialite passed away on Sunday following a brief illness in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.  

Her death was confirmed by one of her children, Dr. Adebayo Adebowale, who made the announcement on behalf of the family.  

In accordance with Islamic traditions, funeral prayers will take place on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 4 pm. She will be laid to rest at her residence in the Government Residential Area of Abeokuta.

Among her surviving children is Mr. AbdulRahman Odunowo, co-founder of Radio Now 95.3FM in Lagos.
