Alhaji Nasiru Ahali, a pioneering figure in Kano’s industrial sector, has died at the age of 108. The Chairman of Mainasara & Sons Company passed away on Thursday night at a hospital in Kano.
Ahali was regarded as a key architect of indigenous industry in the state, with a business legacy spanning printing, book publishing, block manufacturing, quarrying, importation, estate development, and metal works.

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf described his passing as a profound loss to the state and the nation, commending his role in shaping Kano’s economic landscape.
The funeral prayer was held at 1pm today at Nasiru Ahali Jummu’a Mosque in Kurnan Asabe.
