The Delta State police in South-South Nigeria recently announced that they were able to successfully take down a group of kidnappers operating in the area.
The police killed two kidnappers, arrested one, rescued a kidnap victim, and recovered two locally made guns and three live cartridges.
The operation was led by dragon patrol teams 19 and 20 who received a tip about the location of a kidnapped man’s vehicle. With the help of the community, they were able to track down the kidnappers, who attempted to flee and crashed their car.
One kidnapper, Lucky Owofasa, was arrested at the scene and the victim was safely rescued.
The police are still searching for the remaining members of the gang.
Additionally, the police also apprehended a group of armed robbers who had murdered a man and stolen his tricycle.
One suspect was killed in a gunfight with the police and another arrested, who later died in the hospital. The police are still searching for the remaining members of this gang as well.
