We expect President Tinubu to reach out to Tripartite Committee, Says Labour

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, on Monday said it expects President Bola Tinubu to reach out to the members of the Tripartite Committee on the new national minimum wage to reconcile the figures since there was a stalemate.

Speaking to journalists on the position of the Minimum Wage from the President, NLC President Joe Ajaero said President Tinubu should see whether stakeholders at the committee can build a synergy outside the negotiating table to come up with a figure that should be transmitted to the National Assembly.

He also said that the labour unions are expecting to see a copy of the draft bill that would be sent to the National Assembly to ensure that some of the issues discussed at the Tripartite Committee were captured in the bill.
