The Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has said that it is wrong to say that governors of the 36 states are against the Tax Reform Bills.
Speaking during a townhall on the proposed tax reforms which was monitored by Radio Now’s Newsdesk, Governor Sule said the governors only wanted to get clarifications in some areas.
Expressing his support for some aspects of the proposed reforms, the governor said that there are questions that needed answers.

Also speaking to some of the clarifications made by Taiwo Oyedele, the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms set up by President Bola Tinubu, the Nasarawa State governor said engagement and consultations like the townhall is part of events that should have preceded the transmission of the bills to the National Assembly.
